“The Butterfly” performed by Máiréad Nesbitt, 13th track from Celtic Woman ~ the eponymous debut album of the singing group Celtic Woman. Máiréad Nesbitt (pronounced “mah-raid”) is an Irish classical and Celtic music performer, most notably as a fiddle player and violinist.She has been a piano player since the age of four, and began playing the violin at age six.


Celtic Woman reached #1 on the World Music charts within weeks and remained there for a record 68 weeks. The astonishing success led the group’s musical director, David Downes, to adopt the title ‘Celtic Woman’ as their permanent name.
